Steering Serenity
Summary: The Serenity Programme is a global framework focused on meaningful human gatherings. It has organized events such as a commemoration in Germany, robotics workshops for girls, and the celebration of artists from low and middle-income economies. The programme relies on relationships with educational institutions and startups to expand its reach. Additionally, it ensures that events are carbon neutral and tracks their environmental impact through digital infrastructure. Furthermore, it facilitates open discussions through podcasts and publishes research proposals in an open research journal to advance the field of study.
Progress made in the Serenity Programme:Â
Â
(1) The Serenity programme has already organised a local commemoration event in Germany in Nov 2023, a 10-day gallery supported by public sector funds Deutsche Museum and UBO9; and Muellners Foundation. The art theme is particularly significant for the Serenity programme in bringing intercultural dimensions to the research symposiums.Â
Â
(2) Robotics events organised by volunteers in local schools to teach girls applied technology.
Â
(3) The Serenity Programme also bring together artists from low and middle-income economies and celebrates their work through the infusion of technology resources from the digital commons infrastructure. Local organisers gain an Event License and organise small chapters in a region. Muellners Foundation awards digital resources to organize these chapters. The work of these artists becomes visible to the audience.
Â
(4) Capacity & Strength of Serenity programme: The programme relies on relationships with educational institutions and startups where the Foundation’s digital commons infrastructure is organised to escalate and expand the reach of speaker proposals.Â
Â
(5) The events are carbon neutral, and the event organising characteristics are tracked through the digital commons infrastructure’s carbon tracing algorithms, running on the cloud infrastructure.
Â
(6) Open Podcast where the speakers come together over a live stream infrastructure to discuss research advances made in the Foundation's research field.
Â
(7) The programme has set up an open research journal where the speaker’s research proposals are published at TRL 1.2.3 for further progress and advances to be made in the field of study.
