Call for Mentors
Apply to be a Principal Investigator with Muellners Foundation as a host institution
Are you a global health and/or international development professional who is keen on sharing their knowledge and expertise with young talents in the field? Are you interested in working with a global community that cares about a better world for all of us? Then become a mentor for our LEARN fellows in the field of global health.
What is in it for you?
Build your tribe, share what you have learned, and build a talent pool around you. Your students can strongly contribute and help in your open-source projects/initiatives. You create a community that identifies use cases and propels your open-source project.
Why mentor here?
There are a number of reasons why you should join us. This is a global program so you can imagine the impact. There is currently a talent deficit and skill gap in working methodologies and how our industries have been operating. We wish to bring a change in attitude with this community. You get to train students online on projects, which benefit everyone and create a pool of talent that you can use on your further endeavors, experiments or existing project.
If I wish to get paid?
As of now, Foundation is not paying mentors. Mentors are generally global citizens of Open Constitution Network, who are voluntarily organized. But there are other benefits of mentoring in the LEARN program. Your students can strongly contribute and help in your open-source projects/initiatives. You create a community that identifies use cases and propels your open-source project.
What is LEARN Fellowship?
The LEARN fellowship is an industrial research, training and mentorship program.
LEARN teaches fellows product engineering and best practices for open-source research.
Each year, Foundation invites both individual and corporate applicants from low- and middle-income economies to join the LEARN Fellowship.
LEARN Fellowship mentors spend time teaching individual and corporate affiliated members to code or research for open-source projects, maintained by the OC network.
At the completion of the fellowship, Foundation certifies the contributors for product engineering skills.
