FOUNDATION is an industry observer body, an advocacy group, which builds a critical mass of support for a given technology, and then establishes it as a technical standard in a market which is subject to network effects. Naturally, as an industry association, we independently observe, investigate and review research, studies and open source documentation, practices on different financial services and technologies.

"We are a neutral think tank."

Foundation publishes these Observation Reports on its Open Research Platform. The reports are released publicly and reduced to practice in open source. This also means that the network responsibly details the practices and methodologies used in the research.

Sometimes the Observation reports may be highly critical and cover a significantly important subject of public policy in the financial services industry.

Foundation may be an independent supporter of the third party Public Projects cited in this knowledge base. The contents of these reports are edited using a peer review model or a public record evidence is cited wherever required by Foundation's release guidelines, for a public release such that Foundation's neutrality is maintained.
